Technical office · Planning & project support

Technical planning.
With a practical perspective.

Good engineering must work beyond the drawing board.

Whether you are renovating a building, refitting a boat or planning a new energy supply, we examine technical questions, develop practical solutions and support projects from the first idea through implementation.

Why experience makes a difference

Sometimes the real problem lies somewhere unexpected.

A system may work perfectly on its own yet cause problems elsewhere. The key is to understand how the parts interact.

01 / Building services

The air conditioner runs. The wall gets damp.

An air conditioner keeps a room comfortable. If it cools a wall too much, moisture can condense there. The unit works as intended, yet a new problem appears.

02 / Building physics

Mould without a leaking roof?

A holiday home in the Algarve stands empty for weeks in winter. Humid indoor air meets cold, poorly insulated wall corners. Mould can develop there even though no water is entering from outside.

The right solution starts with the right diagnosis. We look beyond the individual component to its surroundings, its operation and the consequences for the whole project.

How we can help

From one technical question to a complex project.

You do not always need full project management. Sometimes a sound assessment of the existing situation or a second technical opinion is enough.

01

Technical assessment & troubleshooting

Document the current state, investigate causes and explain clearly what needs to be done.

02

Planning & solution development

Compare options, develop workable concepts and prepare implementation.

03

Technical advice

Review proposals and components, identify risks and support decisions.

04

Project coordination

Coordinate specialist contractors, materials and work steps from a technical perspective.

05

Implementation support

Review technical progress, document deviations and follow up on open issues.

Individual services or comprehensive support: we agree the scope for each project together.

An example from a boat

Good planning goes beyond the drawing.

An additional generator is installed on a houseboat. It runs perfectly. But it now blocks access to an important seacock, and its cooling-water pump can no longer be reached for maintenance or replacement.

The generator fits. Will the solution also work in day-to-day operation?

Experience working on equipment means planning for safe operation, maintenance and repairs too.

Areas of work

Different challenges. One consistent standard.

Technical systems should work, be planned sensibly, operate reliably and remain serviceable over time.

How we work

A clear route from question to solution.

  1. 01

    Assess

Clarify the current state and the goal.

  2. 02

    Plan

Evaluate options and the work involved.

  3. 03

    Coordinate

    Align people and work steps.

  4. 04

    Support

“Give me a screwdriver and a multimeter. I will find out why it is not working.”

Andreas Krick, when equipment stops working.

Andreas Krick is a trained boatbuilder and commercial professional. His planning and project management work is grounded in decades of hands-on technical experience: tools, engine rooms and building sites are familiar to him from direct work.

He brings more than 30 years of experience in marine engineering, charter and delivery operations, and the management and support of demanding boat overhauls and refits.

He spent several years managing projects involving the dismantling and reassembly of pharmaceutical plants. He also has construction and renovation experience, including from more than ten years living in Portugal.

His international experience also includes four years as a captain and technician in Egypt’s diving industry. Reliable equipment, resourcefulness and clear communication across languages were part of daily work.

Alongside German and English, he is comfortable speaking Spanish and Portuguese. Working across borders is a natural part of his professional life.

This practical background also shapes his project management: good solutions must prove themselves in operation, maintenance and everyday use.
